Artificial Intelligence Ethics and Governance Policy


一 Policy Purpose

The Company is committed to introducing, developing, procuring, using, and managing artificial intelligence in a safe, responsible, trustworthy, lawful, and ethical manner, while balancing innovation, individual rights, information security, trade secrets, and sustainable development.

二 Scope of Application

This Policy applies to all employees and operating activities of the Company and its subsidiaries. The Company also expects suppliers, outsourced service providers, contractors, business partners, and other members of the value chain to recognize and observe the principles of this Policy.

Access Control for Sensitive AI Capabilities
BenQ Materials applies access controls to sensitive AI capabilities involving biometric identification. The facial-recognition access-control system currently deployed at the polarizer plant is administered by designated authorized personnel, with system access and related data management subject to the Company's personal data protection and information security controls.


Responsible AI Training for Employees
In 2026, BenQ Materials conducted employee training on the responsible and secure use of artificial intelligence. The training addressed key risks associated with the use of AI tools, including personal data protection, information security, confidential and trade secret information, and responsible use requirements. Through the training, employees were provided with guidance on the appropriate use of AI tools and the precautions required when processing or entering company or personal information into AI systems.
