To implement this philosophy, in addition to regular charitable donations, BenQ Materials focuses on four main pillars: "Charitable Care, Rooted Education, Green Action, and Art and Culture." Educational Development－Science Camp
Project Origin
BenQ Materials is committed to supporting children’s development in Taiwan and addressing disparities in educational resources between urban and rural areas. In response to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, the Company actively promotes initiatives aimed at ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and fostering lifelong learning opportunities for all. Beyond providing material resources, BenQ Materials believes that continuous care, meaningful engagement, and appropriate educational content are equally essential to creating lasting impact. For more than a decade, the Company has continuously implemented the Science Camp Program, a rural science education initiative designed to strengthen educational accessibility in underserved communities. Through full-day and half-day science outreach activities, combined with the Company’s professional expertise and employee volunteer participation, the program brings additional educational resources and diverse learning opportunities to schools. By narrowing educational disparities between urban and rural regions, the initiative aims to cultivate scientific literacy, curiosity, and an exploratory mindset among children, while advancing the Company’s commitment to educational equity.
Integrating Core Technologies
Guided by the principle of leveraging core business expertise to create social value, BenQ Materials engages employees through volunteer participation and invites instructors and volunteers with specialized knowledge to visit rural and underserved elementary schools to deliver science education and hands-on learning activities connected to everyday life.
Through interactive and engaging course designs , the program encourages children to explore science in an enjoyable and accessible way, fostering independent thinking, problem-solving abilities, and scientific curiosity. By strengthening students’ motivation to learn and enhancing academic engagement, the initiative also inspires them to apply scientific knowledge in daily life and develop capabilities that contribute positively to society in the future.
Expanding Educational Engagement to Extend the Impact of Science Education in 2025
In 2025, the Science Camp Program further expanded its educational outreach by participating in the New Taipei City Science Day, collaborating with multiple organizations to promote interdisciplinary STEAM education. BenQ Materials also provided teaching materials, including polarizer films, enabling students to explore scientific principles through hands-on learning experiences. These efforts further strengthened the promotion of local science education and extended the program’s educational impact.
The Invisible Impact
As of 2025, the Science Camp Program has conducted a total of 36 sessions, benefiting 997 students. To further enhance educational impact, BenQ Materials has adopted a multistakeholder feedback mechanism, collecting both quantitative and qualitative feedback from teachers, students, and volunteers to evaluate the program’s influence on learning motivation, classroom engagement, and educational outcomes. In 2025, the program served 8 schools and 110 students. Satisfaction scores reached 4.98 among schools, 4.68 among students, and 4.91 among participating volunteers, demonstrating strong recognition of the program’s design, implementation quality, and educational value.
To assess the program’s actual impact on students’ motivation to learn and scientific literacy, BenQ Materials conducted evaluations based on the B4SI (Business for Societal Impact) framework. According to teachers’ follow-up observation surveys after program completion, the overall social impact score reached 62% in 2025, indicating notable improvements in students’ willingness to learn science, classroom participation, and motivation to complete assignments.
In addition, learning outcomes were validated through pre- and post-program assessments, with students’ average test accuracy improving from 64% to 91%. The results indicate that students effectively understood key scientific concepts after participating in the program, demonstrating strong alignment between the curriculum design and intended learning objectives.

To extend the connection between science education and practical everyday applications, BenQ Materials donated hydrocolloid dressings to health offices at participating schools, helping supplement basic campus healthcare resources. -
Implementing the science education subsidy program to enhance practical learning resources:
In response to the teaching resource needs of rural schools, a science education subsidy program was planned and proposed to assist schools in purchasing natural sciencerelated experimental equipment. In 2025, four schools applied for subsidies, receiving a total of NT$38,576. The program supports schools in strengthening practical learning resources, enabling students to deepen understanding through hands-on experiences, improve learning motivation and outcomes, and reduce educational resource disparities. -
Integrating environmental sustainability concepts to extend learning impact:
By designing exclusive commemorative eco-friendly tote bags, BenQ Materials incorporated environmental sustainability concepts into the learning experience. This approach encourages students to maintain connections with the program beyond the classroom, extending both the impact and recognition of science education initiatives.
