Air Pollution Control

BenQ Materials monitors air pollutant emissions through its Environmental Management System (ISO 14001) and has installed air pollution control equipment, including regenerative thermal oxidizers (RTOs), scrubbers, and bag filters, to specifically treat process exhaust gas and minimize air pollution impacts. All pollution control equipment is operated and maintained by dedicated personnel, with monitoring strengthened through central control systems and inspection mechanisms. Key controlled pollutants include volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

The VOC emissions trend from 2022 to 2025 is shown in the chart. Total VOC emissions in 2025 were 72.7 metric tons, a decrease of approximately 23% compared to 2024. The covered sites include the Taoyuan Plant, Longtan Plant, Yunlin Plant, and subsidiaries Cenefom and Web-Pro (including the Vietnam Plant). Since the remaining plants have no VOC emissions, the coverage rate of plant data is 100%. Average VOC treatment efficiency remained stable at over 98%, exceeding the regulatory standard of 92%, and all emissions data are subject to irregular audits and inspections by environmental authorities.
 

Air Pollutant Emissions

• Note 1: BenQ Materials' air pollutant emissions mainly consist of nitrogen oxides (NOx), sulfur oxides (SOx), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). The statistical scope of emissions data covers the Taoyuan Plant, Longtan Plant, Yunlin Plant, and subsidiaries Cenefom and Web-Pro (including the Vietnam Plant). The above plants have no emissions of persistent organic pollutants (POPs), hazardous air pollutants (HAPs), or particulate matter (PM). The Suzhou Plant, Wuhu Plant, and subsidiary GeneJet have no air pollutant emissions.
