Health Management

 

BenQ Materials’ friendly workplace plans include employee health care. In terms of diet, the employee cafeteria provides regularly offered healthy meals. Employees can select meals based on calorie labels in weekly menus and on-site traffic light meal labels, helping them effectively manage and plan their diet. In addition, the Company’s employee health examinations exceed statutory frequency and item requirements. The Company has also contracted with designated hospitals, held health promotion lectures, and established stress-relief massage rooms that provide physical therapy and massage services. Health information newsletters are issued regularly, allowing employees to receive the latest health information, care for their own health, and move from physical health care toward maintaining both physical and mental well-being.

Note 2: The three subsidiaries in Taiwan are not yet required to contract for health services because their headcount is less than 50.
Note 3: China plants are not subject to local regulatory requirements for related health management actions, and relevant operations are carried out with reference to the Taiwan plant system.

  • Exceeding regulatory requirements, contractors are proactively included in the scope of special noise operation examinations, strengthening the completeness of the existing health management system.
Workers engaged in special hazardous operations undergo special health examinations in accordance with law. Occupational medicine specialists conduct health risk assessments and tiered management based on examination results, provide individualized health consultations and follow-up recommendations, and, when necessary, recommend job adjustments or medical referrals to prevent occupational diseases and reduce health risks.
Self-Paid Health Checkup
▪ Cancer Screenings for the Top 10 Causes of Death: Includes various ultrasound examinations. ▪ Ultrasound Examinations: Conducted for a range of specific cancer types. Once to twice per year superior to legal requirements 318 persons Health checkups were arranged annually, or preferential health checkup programs were provided. To protect sensitive personal information, employees managed their own health checkup reports. In the event of any abnormalities or if health consultation was needed, employees could proactively request assistance from the Company, which would arrange one-on-one health consultations with an on-site physician.

BenQ Materials distinguished itself by implementing inclusive and comprehensive health tracking mechanisms and by embedding health promotion deeply across all employee groups. Through ongoing health initiatives, the company fosters both physical vitality and psychological resilience, establishing a supportive and fulfilling workplace culture.
 

Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

 
To strengthen employees’ stress resilience during work and career transitions, BenQ Materials emphasizes health management of employees’ physical and mental state and works with external Employee Assistance Program (EAP) service providers each year to provide professional support to employees at all operating sites. When employees encounter legal, psychological, management, adaptation, or other related issues, they may use free hotlines or unlimited email consultations. Professional case managers provide immediate consultation or necessary referral assistance.

Based on personal data protection and relevant legal requirements, EAP services are fully anonymous and do not disclose any personal information, ensuring that employees can use relevant resources in a safe and trusted environment. In 2025, EAP services were used a total of 320 times. Service sources included external partners and internal on-site psychologist services. Consultation topics mainly involved workplace-related issues.

In addition to the existing care letter mechanism for specific groups, the Company also continues to strengthen employee mental health support through monthly mental health themed articles, which are also provided in foreign language versions, and irregular mental health lectures.

In addition, for employees entering career transition stages due to layoff or resignation, BenQ Materials also provides necessary EAP consultation support to help them cope with psychological adjustment and life adaptation during the transition period, demonstrating the Company’s care and responsibility throughout employees’ career journeys.
