In the global surge for sustainability, companies must go beyond climate response and embed responsibility into policies and culture. BenQ Materials has adopted a mission to be a trusted partner in the value chain, making sustainability a core competitive asset and building an innovative, inclusive culture.

This year, in CommonWealth Magazine’s Corporate Sustainability Awards, BenQ Materials earned three honors: continuous recognition in the Corporate Sustainability Award, and for the first time the CommonWealth Talent Sustainability Award and the Family Friendly Workplace Award. These awards cover environmental governance, talent development, and workplace well-being—showing the company’s full-spectrum commitment to sustainability and the translation of long-term investment into real culture.

Corporate Sustainability Award | Low-carbon governance through institutional innovation

BenQ Materials introduced an internal carbon price of NT$1,100 per tonne to make low-carbon decisions part of everyday operations. As a result, its 2024 Scope 1 + 2 emissions dropped by 12.9% compared with the baseline year.

CommonWealth Talent Sustainability Award | Building AI capability and an inclusive workplace

The company focused on AI and digital skills, set up a systematic learning framework, internal experts and seed coaches, and an application discussion community. It also promoted diversity and inclusion, including migrant workers, through cultural-integration training and cross-cultural dialogue.

Family Friendly Workplace Award | Equal care for all employees, nurturing a healthy inclusive environment

BenQ Materials excelled in health promotion, gender equality, and cultural inclusion. It offered generous childcare subsidies, supported foreign colleagues and diverse groups, and introduced long-term care leave to help balance work and family. These comprehensive care measures were highly praised.

Looking ahead, the company will continue to deepen sustainable governance—from energy management to talent development—and, with diversity and inclusion at its core, empower every employee and grow together.
