On May 22, the International Day for Biological Diversity, BenQ Materials partnered with the Fisheries Agency and the Taiwan Ocean Conservation and Fishery Sustainability Foundation (TOFF) to hold a scientific fish release event at Zhuwei Fishing Harbor.
The company also continues introducing sustainable seafood into employee cafeterias as part of its long-term commitment to marine conservation and biodiversity protection.

Supporting Marine Biodiversity Through Scientific Fish Release

A total of 46 employees participated in the release of 30,000 yellowfin seabream fry at Zhuwei Fishing Harbor.
Under the guidance of TOFF experts, participants learned about local marine ecology, scientific fish release methods, and the importance of ecological balance. The activity emphasized that responsible fish release requires consideration of fish species, environmental conditions, and ecosystem sustainability. Employees carefully released the fish fry into the ocean and gained a deeper understanding of marine restoration and biodiversity conservation through hands-on participation.

Bringing Sustainability into Everyday Dining

BenQ Materials also promotes biodiversity awareness through everyday dining.
Since launching its Sustainable Seafood New Lifestyle program last year, the company has introduced certified sustainable seafood into employee cafeterias each month to encourage responsible consumption and support Taiwans marine ecosystem restoration efforts.

BenQ Materials will continue working with partners to promote environmental sustainability and protect marine resources for the future.
