On September 18, 2025, BenQ Materials held its annual Supplier Conference at the Yunke Campus, bringing together around 120 supplier partners from diverse industries. The event focused on collaboration in material technology and sustainable supply chains. In addition to highlighting the core values of low-carbon transition and the circular economy, the conference also featured the Outstanding Supplier Awards, honoring partners who have demonstrated exceptional achievements in sustainability across three categories: the Sustainability Synergy Award, the Environmental Innovation Leadership Award, and the Excellence in Sustainable Collaboration Award.
Sustainability Vision: Transforming Through Material Technology
In his keynote address, Chairman Dr ZC Chen shared BenQ Materials’ long-term vision for sustainability. He emphasized that climate change compels companies to take greater environmental responsibility. BenQ Materials has embedded ESG strategies deeply into its R&D, production, and supply chain management. By adopting a multi-technology, multi-product, and multi-brand strategy, the company continues to reduce the carbon footprint throughout the product life cycle while driving innovation in display materials, healthcare products, advanced battery materials, functional textiles, and semiconductors.
Chairman Chen underscored that only through close collaboration and transparent communication with partners can the circular economy and resource reuse be achieved, thereby delivering true green value.

Patagonia’s Commitment and Collaboration with Xpore
At the conference, Patagonia shared its sustainability journey, highlighting a decade of progress in prioritizing sustainable materials. Today, more than 95% of its products are made with preferred materials, and Patagonia has committed to eliminating PFAS by 2025. The company also continues to advance its Waste Economy initiatives and Fair Trade programs, reinforcing its dedication to brand responsibility and social value through both policies and actions.
Patagonia also reflected on its collaboration with BenQ Materials’ textile brand Xpore. Since Xpore’s launch in 2020 with its PFAS-free and solvent-free innovative material, Patagonia recognized the alignment in values and officially began the collaboration in 2023. The partnership has already resulted in the application of the Xpore Ultra nanoporous membrane in the Patagonia M10® Waterproof Alpine Anorak, a product that combines high performance with environmentally friendly manufacturing. This represents a strong example of how technology and sustainability can go hand in hand.
