Since 2012, BenQ Materials has promoted low-carbon initiatives in support of Earth Day. What started as participation in Earth Hour has grown into "Low-Carbon Living Month," a sustainability campaign held throughout April.
The activities now include plastic reduction, green dining, recycling, and environmental volunteer programs, helping sustainability become part of employees’ daily work and life.
Each year, BenQ Materials organizes activities inspired by Earth Day themes, including second-hand exchange events, green markets, healthy meal campaigns, lectures, and online courses to encourage environmentally friendly habits.
Beach cleanup activities have continued since 2013 and have now entered their 14th year, with total participation exceeding 1,000 people.
The company also promotes reducing disposable tableware and using reusable cups, while working with cafeteria and retail partners to improve plastic reduction efforts. BenQ Materials has also received the Ministry of Environment’s “Eco-Friendly Restaurant (Green Dining Table)” certification.
