Yunke Textile Plant: The Heart of Xpore Production

Located in Yunlin, the Yunke Textile Plant is the core manufacturing base for BenQ Materials’ Xpore brand, specializing in high-performance functional fabrics.
Xpore is dedicated to combining the elegance of nature with technological innovation, developing textile solutions that balance functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability, driving the global market toward a greener future.

Reaching the 100% Renewable Energy Milestone with Self-Built Solar Power Generation Systems

Since 2021, the Yunke Textile Plant has operated its own solar power generation systems, using a self-generation and self-consumption model to meet its energy needs.
By 2024, the plant achieved a significant milestone: all 287,862 kWh of its annual electricity consumption was fully supplied by its solar power system. This achievement has been officially recorded through Self-Use Renewable Energy Certificates with Taiwan Renewable Energy Certificate Center (T-REC).

RE100 Goal Reached 10 Years Early

Beyond the success at the Yunke Textile Plant, BenQ Materials has accelerated its RE100 commitment, moving its original 2050 target timeline forward to 2040 with a strategic roadmap in place. The company continues to expand both self-built solar power generation systems and renewable energy procurement through renewable energy electricity providers, further supporting energy transition and net-zero goals.
As of 2024, BenQ Materials had achieved total annual renewable energy consumption of 16,336.3 MWh (16.3363 million kWh), accounting for approximately 23.7% of total energy consumption across all operational sites.

2024 Key Results and Data

  • Renewable energy at Yunke Textile Plant: 287,862 kWh, 100% solar-powered.
  • Certification: 804 Self-Use Renewable Energy Certificates obtained from T-REC.
