One Technology, Many Possibilities
Polarizing films must be stretched to create polarization without causing breaks, while lithium battery separator films require microscopic pores that allow ions to pass through. By applying different material designs and process controls, these technologies can also be extended to waterproof and breathable materials, and, through surface treatment, to high-purity filtration for semiconductor manufacturing processes.
The same materials expertise is also applied to contact lenses, functional dressings, hemostatic materials, and negative-pressure wound therapy. By building on existing technologies and continuously exploring new applications, BenQ Materials has established a foundation for entering different industries.

From Materials to Environmental and Community Responsibility
From material recycling and green manufacturing to factory-site management, BenQ Materials continues to address environmental issues associated with its manufacturing operations. These efforts include reusing waste film materials and medical waste, adopting fluorine-free and solvent-free processes, treating exhaust gases through RTO systems at the Taoyuan plant, and implementing greening, rainwater collection, and irrigation systems at the Yunlin plant.
